This organisation started in Fife on the 28th
November 1932 and at that time we were known as the Fife Union of
Youth Clubs. For whatever reason, this union decided to split up and
go their separate ways. We called ourselves the Fife Federation of
Boys Clubs and recently changed our name to CYP Fife (clubs for
young people). We are a voluntary organisation supported and
financed from within the local community and business sector.
All our activities are organised and run by the Federation
Committee. All volunteers are vetted by CYP Scotland and are
approved to work with young people by Disclosure Scotland. We have a
strong historical tie to the local community, with one example of
this being the award in 2004 of a certificate from the Nationwide
Building Society for our activities programme. We hold seminars on
topics such as Child Protection, Drug and Alcohol Abuse.
We also cover a wide range of sporting activities such as
International Football, Snooker, Pool and Golf.
